Position Overview: Head of Applied AI & Data Intelligence

Synolon is seeking a senior, hands-on technical leader to become the Head of Applied AI & Data Intelligence for its flagship real estate platform. This is a foundational role for a professional who excels at architecting, building, and shipping production-grade AI systems. You will own the entire AI/ML pipeline—from designing models for complex data challenges like entity resolution and anomaly detection to deploying and operating them in a live, data-intensive environment. This is a rare opportunity to build the AI core of a platform with true global ambition from its inception in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

As the AI technical lead, you will own and drive the following:

• AI/ML Architecture & Strategy: Design and scale end-to-end, robust AI/ML systems that serve as the intelligent backbone for the global platform.
• Model Development & Deployment: Build, train, and deploy production models for critical functions like entity resolution, data normalization, validation, and anomaly detection across large, complex datasets.
• Production Ownership: Take full operational responsibility for AI systems in production, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate deeply with backend, data engineering, and product teams to integrate AI capabilities seamlessly into the platform’s architecture.

Candidate Requirements (Mandatory)

Core Experience	Minimum 4+ years of strong, hands-on experience in Machine Learning and Applied AI, with a proven track record of shipping AI systems to production.

Data & Systems Mindset	Extensive experience working with large-scale, structured, and semi-structured datasets. A strong system design and architectural mindset is essential.

• LLM & Advanced AI: Practical experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), including RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), embeddings, and agentic systems.
• Knowledge Systems: Background in knowledge graphs, advanced search algorithms, or ranking systems.
• Domain Complexity: Experience in building AI for trust, verification, or compliance-heavy platforms where data accuracy is paramount.
