Position Overview: Senior Manager – Social Media & Content (BYD KSA)

Al-Futtaim Automotive is seeking a visionary and results-driven Senior Manager – Social Media & Content to take full ownership of the digital voice for BYD, Denza, and YangWang in Saudi Arabia. This is a senior leadership role responsible for crafting and executing the entire social media and content ecosystem for these cutting-edge electric vehicle brands. You will lead the strategy across all platforms, own influencer marketing, drive creative content production, and ensure a powerful, culturally resonant brand narrative that positions BYD as a leader in the Kingdom’s automotive future. This role requires a creative strategist with a deep understanding of the Saudi digital landscape and a passion for storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be entrusted with the following comprehensive strategic and creative duties:

Social Media Strategy (Full Ownership):

  • Own and lead BYD KSA’s end-to-end social media strategy across all key platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube).
  • Define platform roles, content pillars, tone of voice, and storytelling frameworks aligned with brand strategy, product launches, and campaigns.

Content Strategy & Creative Direction:

  • Take full ownership of social content ideation, planning, and creation, developing always-on, campaign-based, and launch-specific content calendars.
  • Lead the creation of social-first, snackable, and platform-native assets that are on-brand and culturally relevant.
  • Supply high-quality creative assets and narratives to support paid social campaigns, collaborating closely with the digital marketing team.

Influencer / KOL Marketing & Management:

  • Own BYD KSA’s influencer/KOL strategy, identifying, onboarding, and managing relevant Saudi-based influencers, creators, and KOCs.
  • Define clear briefs, usage rights, and deliverables, ensuring all content aligns with brand guidelines and cultural expectations.

Creative Production & Community Management:

  • Brief and manage content creators, videographers, photographers, and agencies for shoots and activations. Oversee post-production and fast-turnaround workflows.
  • Own BYD KSA’s brand voice across channels, overseeing community engagement, moderation, and response frameworks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Work closely with Marketing, PR, CX, Product, and Events teams for integrated execution.
  • Track and report on organic social and influencer KPIs, using insights to optimize content strategy and share learnings with the paid media team.
